Men’s Loc Styling 101

Men's Styling 101 with Salih - CURLYNUGROWTH.com

The presentation by Salih of LocLov Salon was one of the 3 topics that I was really looking forward to at the Naturalista Hair Show because I knew it would be filled with valuable information—I wasn’t disappointed. If you are unfamiliar with Salih, he is the owner of LocLov Salon in Silver Spring, Maryland and a Master Locitian. Salih’s artistry with locs is amazing and I am always blessed to be in his company.

I am so happy that I started recording the presentation from the beginning so that I could share with you because, in addition to Men’s Loc Styling Tips, he addressed the principles of Loc Maintenance. A few topics he discussed were:

  • Why You Shouldn’t Use Shea Butter on Locs
  • What Apple Cider Vinegar (ACV) will actually remove from Locs
  • The difference between environmental buildup and product buildup
  • How Loc Styling Can Cause Locs to Break Off— and how to prevent it from happening to you!

Do you have anymore pics of the style on the “cover”?

I do not, sorry! This was done by the owner of Loc Lov.
