Would You Pledge a Natural Hair Sorority?

Pi Nappa Kappa Natural Hair Sorority

Social Networks, Facebook and Twitter, are buzzing about this Natural Hair Sorority, Pi Nappa Kappa, that practically sprang out of no where. The founder of the Pi Nappa Kappa, Leola Anifowoshe, has created a pledge bank and is calling for 10,000 naturals to join by December 9th 2011. There is a brief description of the sorority on the Pi Nappa Kappa Pledge page.

Pi Nappa Kappa Natural Hair Sorority Pledge

I personally signed the pledge to hopefully get more details about what Leola Anifowoshe is trying to accomplish with this sorority. However, after I signed the pledge, I was directed to StrawberriCurls Facebook Fan Page where the “founder”, Leola Anifowoshe, is being accused of being a fraud, a crook, and of all things not natural. I find this really interesting and I will post more information as it is available.

UPDATE: There is a PAID Pi Nappa Kappa meetup that is suppose to be happening in Houston, TX. And once you “Like” the Natural Hair Sorority Fan Page you receive a Soror #. Please note that I am not endorsing or encouraging you to pay for a  meetup, at least until the legitimacy of this “sorority” is confirmed.
