I honestly think it depends on the hair. I think some people will see a benefit and others wont. And some conditioners are better than others. When I use a box color I never use the conditioner that comes with the color…it’s just creamy perfume. I use my own and get a better result that works for my hair. Also, this is the only time I use conditioner, and If I just color a portion of my locs, I only condition the portion that I colored; and only that one time.
After that I go back to just my regular wash routine which does not include conditioner because I don’t want to be bothered with having to rinse again.
