Reflecting on my Sisterlocks Journey

Recently I have been doing a lot of reflecting on my current Sisterlocks journey and different aspects of my life. And after much deliberation, I have decided to….. well, watch the video and see!

I posted a long time ago about the “energy your hair holds” and I am a firm believer in that perspective. I am at a totally different place in my life than I was two years ago and there are a lot of positive changes that I am making and that are coming into my life. I want to be a reflection of that positivity and let go of all the negativity.

Have you ever sat down and reflected on your current journey or where you’re headed? What are the actions you take after reflecting?

This is such a courageous decision! You go girl!

Months 12 and on as been a tough year for me with my sisterlocks. Since Jan 4, there has been more negative/confused blog posts than positives one. And, with the positive ones, there is still that layer of doubt/”I-just-going-to-put-a-smile-on-my-face” attitude about them. But I am going to hold on just a little while longer. I’m hoping months 24 and beyond will be a much smoother process for me.

Thank you! Why has your journey after a year been rough?

If I could have afforded to keep my Sisterlocks or maintain them myself I definitely would have and just gradually cut out the “weight”. My Sisterlocks were really loc’ing after my grooming session.

What other Sisterlock bloggers do you frequent?
