MyHoneyChild Honey Bee Sweet Scalp Exfoliator Product Review

MyHoneyChild Scalp Exfoliator Shampoo

What is the one thing that’s better than a clean scalp? I’d have to say it’s a thoroughly cleansed scalp with an affordably priced, sweet smelling, all natural shampoo and you get all 3 with the *MyHoneyChild Honey Bee Sweet Scalp Exfoliator! I have been using the Honey Bee Sweet Scalp Exfoliator for several months now and it was such a great product to have in my regimen. It might have lasted longer if my husband didn’t use it and love it as well but that just means you’ll get two perspectives of the product, on locs and loose textured hair.

What is a Scalp Exfoliator?

Essentially the Honey Bee Sweet Scalp Exfoliator is a clarifying shampoo that uses saponified vegetable oils, mainly coconut oil, to clean the hair. The saponification process is a simple chemical reaction between an oil and an alkali to produce soap, glycerin and water. This process has been used for ages and is one of the most naturals ways to create soap.

My Experience with the Honey Bee Sweet Scalp Exfoliator

What I really enjoyed about the Honey Bee Sweet Scalp Exfoliator was that it removed product build up and dandruff, whether I’d gone 1 week or 1 month without shampooing my locs. It was also an added bonus that I only needed a little bit of shampoo to get a rich lather and fully saturate my thick locs leaving my hair feeling clean and lightweight.

Since my husband is rocking a short ‘fro he gets to shampoo his hair on a daily basis and, unbeknownst to me, he had been using theHoney Bee Sweet Scalp Exfoliator to do so. After I caught him in the act, he admitted “that stuff is great and it makes my hair feel really clean!” To break his guy code product revoew down into natural hair terms, the Honey Bee Sweet Scalp Exfoliator is a great cleansing product for almost daily use and it leaves the hair feeling refreshed. I say almost daily use because using it every single day can dry the scalp too much and even the label says to alternate using theHoney Bee Sweet Scalp Exfoliator with a moisturizing shampoo.

Professional Hair Care Recommendation

My recommendation for using the Honey Bee Sweet Scalp Exfoliator would be for people with locs or any texture of hair. However if you have fine hair, definitely follow it up with a moisturizing shampoo in the same session; and if you have very coily hair, I would suggest following the Honey Bee Sweet Scalp Exfoliator with a moisturizing conditioner in the same session. For people with locs, a moisturizing shampoo or conditioner is not necessary but I would recommend using the Chocolate Syrup Hair Oil oil after the shampoo to seal in moisture.
