Where to Find Natural Hair Artwork

Natural Hair Artwork

Natural hair artwork is everywhere, but very rarely are depictions of locs present in these creations. I’ll be honest, I am saddened by this lack of representation of locs, but like all great things, I know it will take time…

Cue Gerrel Saunders of GakDesigns!

I stumbled upon this artist’s page while scrolling through Instagram and found an entire collection of natural hair artwork, perfectly titled “CROWN”.

Naturally, I emailed him about prints. Because Duh!

He must have been bombarded with inquiries because he said he was working on it and they should be available soon. And what do you know, a few days later, I received an email stating that prints are finally available (great customer service, might I add)!

Styled Locs - Natural Hair Artwork

I purchased 3 prints, that I can’t wait to add to the walls of my salon— and bonus they’re currently on sale! I highly recommend grabbing your prints while they last and supporting this “CROWN” project because we need more cultural artwork like this! And for the record, this is not a sponsored post, I just genuinely want to share my support for this artist because he took the time to detail the frizz on the locs— so you know it’s real!
